In the Food and Fiber Pavilion, there is a Bordon display complete with a barnyard for Elsie the cow and Beau the calf. These Borden icons are there every year for fairgoers to pet and admire. The animals are typically calm and peaceful. Once, I did see Elsie appear skittish when there was a particularly boisterous crowd around her. Her caretaker soothed her and seemed very concerned about her welfare. Beau was not standing up when I visited, but he still posed for a photo.
